Is DAZN Bet legal in Alberta?

Yes: DAZN Bet is AGLC-registered (DZBT Marketing Limited o/a DAZN Bet) and has been live in Alberta’s regulated market since the July 13, 2026 launch.

You may know DAZN as a sports-streaming service. The betting brand is a separate, regulated operation, and in Alberta the register entry is what makes it legal. Who owns DAZN Bet?

DAZN Bet is the betting brand of the DAZN group, the sports-streaming company, and it launched as a betting brand in the 2020s. That makes it the newest name in our Alberta review set. The Alberta entity matters: DZBT Marketing Limited, a Gibraltar company with registration number 122060, trading as DAZNBET. That’s the name on the AGLC register and in the site’s licensing footer.

DAZN Bet vs. PlayAlberta

Both are legal for Albertans, and they’re different kinds of operator. PlayAlberta is the province’s own platform; DAZN Bet is a private operator on the AGLC register. What you notice as a player is range and shape. PlayAlberta runs a broad casino lobby with many studios behind it; DAZN Bet runs 207 games from one. Two things about this section are honest gaps rather than findings. DAZN Bet doesn’t list its Alberta payment methods on the casino website that you can reach without an account, but it does mention it in their blog. Due to the newness of DAZN Bet to the market, there is no Trustpilot listing for daznbet.ca, so the numbers above come from the daznbet.com listing, as of September 9, 2026. Reviewers there identify predominantly from Great Britain, with occasional Canadian entries, and the reviews run from early July to early September 2026. It’s a rating of the brand’s older markets more than of the Alberta product, which has only existed since the Alberta market launch on July 13, 2026.

The complaint themes, in order of how often they appear: withdrawals delayed or restricted; accounts suspended without an explanation the reviewer accepted; live-chat support that reviewers found unhelpful; and games failing to load or lagging. Several reviewers report accounts closed shortly after a deposit or a win. Take this information into consideration before you play if it’s important to you.

The positive share is small: 7% of reviews sit at five stars, and the brand’s streaming-plus-betting combination is what those reviewers tend to name.

The footer credits Pragmatic Solutions as the one studio providing the games, an unusual decision compared to other casinos that boast 120+ providers. However, it also means that everything behaves the same, the lobby loads consistently, and the game information panels are laid out identically across titles. Sportsbook in the same account

This is a casino review, but DAZN Bet is sports-first with one account covering both sides: one wallet, one verification, casino and sportsbook side by side in the top navigation. Money you verify once works for both.
